Student Spotlight: Kaylee Bormuth

Kaylee Bormuth is a freshman marketing major from Merrick, New Hampshire. She is a new member of our team joining us this fall semester of 2022. Kaylee is a marketing team assistant where she completes tasks such as design infographics or merchandise and helps run our social media pages. Kaylee has previously been involved in her community by volunteering with honors society, volunteering in tutoring with math society, and volunteering to be a camp counselor. Kaylee was also awarded her Bronze Award in Girl Scouts for helping renovate a library in a school for kids with disabilities.

"Community Engagement is needed and important for students because it helps you realize your potential on and off campus."

Kaylee is very creative and likes to keep that part of her brain active so she likes to paint and make bracelets. She is also an athlete who loves to work out. In her senior year, Kaylee made All State for both basketball and volleyball. When Kaylee gets time to relax she likes to watch shows like One Piece, Bojack Horseman, and Steven Universe. She also loves to travel. Kaylee went to Germany in 2019 because her family used to live there. She hopes one day to visit Spain because of how much she admires their language and culture. On the plane rides there, she likes to listen to music such as Still Woozy. Kaylee is also a loving cat and dog mom to two tabbies and her dog Griffin.

To Kaylee, community engagement means helping and staying connected within her

community. This means keeping students up to date on latest events in community spaces

as well as letting our community know what our school does to stay involved with them.

Kaylee agrees community engagement is important because “community engagement

is a tool for students to use their skills and field of study in real life instances and apply this knowledge through the community. Community Engagement is needed and important for students because it helps you realize your potential on and off campus.” She cannot wait to get involved and put her skills in and out of the classroom to the test. In the future, she plans to use her time with us at Community Engagement to help her prepare for a career in her chosen major.

We’re so excited to see Kaylee’s future in Marketing and Community Engagement!
