It’s that time of year again! The Feinstein Center for Service learning is hosting its 14th Annual Turkey Basket Competition!
Clubs, organizations, and departments at Roger Williams University create baskets of food and Thanksgiving goodies that are then donated to the East Bay Food Pantry, located in Bristol, RI. Participants compete in two categories: Highest Quantity and Most Creative. Last year, Bon Appetite at RWU and the Financial Aid Office took the cake in these categories, respectively. The winning prize consists of a $75 gift card to a local restaurant! Click here to read more about last year’s competition.
Help the Feinstein Center beat last year’s donation, which was over 2,500 pounds of donated food! Sign up here on Hawklink. Supply your name, email, and your affiliated organization (I.e., the Bursar’s Office). However,if you forget, you can bring your basked to Global Heritage Hall (GHH) November 19th at 3 pm.
Judging will begin at 3:30 and there will be cider and donuts as refreshments. Each basket should include a full Thanksgiving meal and a gift card to purchase a turkey.
